So I haven't done much shooting recently. I guess summer was busy with work and all.
BUT.
Now that school has started, I have to get back into things :D
&& I've found LJ is an awesome resource. So. I don't know if Ill post stuff up. but im back~

It's been a while hasn't it?
Summer break has started. Yay! I've finally started coming out of laziness and have started working again.
So, I had one shoot with TS last week and a really spontaneous one today with NC and TM.

I had a shoot with KM on Wednesday. I've had this concept in my mind for a while but I wasn't sure that it would go the way I wanted. I think it worked out really well. I'm really happy with these. I've been saving up concepts in my head because I've been afraid the pictures won't turn out well + I'll waste the idea [LOL] but now I'm more confident :]

KD and I went to the Bishops Garden on Friday and took some pictures. I had a lot of fun. Her dress is SO bright but pretty. I really need to focus and look around me more. I didn't even notice the awesome stairs at first.

I almost don't like this picture because it's so unBOMAish. BL isn't attacking K + they are so...civilized and normal xD
But I figured I should put it up anyways.
I frickin love the reflection of the sun and the trees in the window of the bus. Too bad that K's head is blocking most of it. If I had actually noticed the reflection and such, I could have gotten them to move over so you could actually see it. Oh well.

People have been messaging me about pictures of the keio kids. Sorry it's taking me so lonnng x.x Anyways, here are a couple. I couldn't really get artistic, well composed, interesting pictures but these are really cute. I miss them!! 
 

1. Under my Umbrella, ella, ella, eh, eh, eh....
Georgetown trip with the exchange students. We were in Urban Outfitters and we had to leave. T had my umbrella and Y, H, and K were huddled under it. [It was raining...even though you can't tell here] It would have been such an awesome picture. Unfortunately, I was inside the store + then by the time I got outside, they had moved. It was funny. Both CV and I ran outself and were like, "FREEEZE!!!" but....they didn't. So, I had to deal with taking this picture. Bahaha, don't they look like they are going on a double date or something? Nawww, K wouldn't cheat on BL. Boma lives on forever.

2. Peace :]
I wanted to take some pictures of the exchange students before they had to leave. So Wednesday 8th, I had them all outside. But, it was kind of awkward. Incredibly Awkward. And since there were so many of them, I couldn't focus on one... yeah. But I did get some cute pictures. S is sooo sweet. Awww. I miss them all. I love this picture. They look happy. and relaxed. It bothers me that the left hand side is totally white. [the sky is washed out...] but I'm not sure exactly how to fix that yet. I could have underexposed the entire picture but that wouldn't have looked good. I guess filters then?

Uhmmm....I WOULD go on a walk for 2 hours and end up taking pictures at a stable -eyeroll- Uggg. I'm so tired now. Walking up a hill for a mile is not fun. In other news: I HATE MY PHOTOSHOP. ....-prays to angels for CS3- *smirk* heheheh....soooon 
...If CS3 is messed up too, I think I will actually sit down and cry. 
I don't even know if photoshop is getting worse, or I'm actually noticing how much it messes stuff up for the first time. *growl* 1. It keeps on turning my pictures bluuuueeeee 2. quality is getting icky when I save. WHYY?



1. Purdy Pony
So, I was walking around and right away this horsie caught my eye. Sooo purdy <3 And she was bathed in light and stuff. awwww. She was such a good model. She would move and then look at me and stop. ...then again, she wasn't moving much in the first place buuuut. Yeah.


2. Wheeee
I had to crop this picture....but its only because I don't have a good zoom. I also desaturated. I need to stop playing with the desaturation... hehehe. The horse was actually bright chestnut [if that means anything to you] Urg. I made the leaves on the trees a funky color. ick. They are like...pink. Oh and the shadow on the horses face is dark. boo.


3. JUMP!
Not exactly a good picture....but the horses pose is awesome. Looks like she's about to leap into a canter or something. Uhmmmm stupid people's feet sticking out in the background. Also, the horse is blurry. Aaaand theres something towards the right. I'm not even sure WHAT it is but it's distracting. Oh...this is the horse from above. But, this is desaturated a little too xD


4. Bandit
This was really luck. I was taking pictures [or trying to...the rest turned out blurry cuz there wasn't enough light] of this horse and I forgot to check the light meter before I hit the shutter xD And this is how it turned out. I like it a lot actually. Except, its a little annoying you can see a little bit of his muzzle and such but barely... I like the light though.

Myy photoshop is officially screwy. I had to go through and adjust the color balance to -35 yellow to get the pictures to actually look right after I'd uploaded them. Otherwise, for some reason, they turn out blue. What a pain in the butt. Plus, the contrast and such look better in photoshop. After I upload them they get mehh. Anyways, this is part II of the pictures taken a couple days ago....Speaking of taking pictures, I wanted to take pictures of the exchange students so I herded them outside....only to find my camera had no battery power. lame.


1. A shower of light
Aw. The light was so nice. I love the flowing hair and how relaxed she looks. Again, I need to work on zooming in or getting closer to people when I take pictures of them. This picture was cropped. I also feel like the picture is most focused on the hair on the left side of her face which is a little weird. I still need to figure out how to make her eyes look brighter and greener and such without having to photoshop. But all in all, I like this picture a lot. There weren't a lot of changes I made in photoshop too...

2. Cuties :]
Its amazing that they are actually both looking at the camera. bahaha. Its framed rather weirdly with them jutting out at an angle from the side... SF is almost smiling xD I think the only thing that really bothers me is at the right corner, there a white patch. And Also, I feel like I didn't really think about the light before taking the picture. For example, would this picture have looked better if they were more backlit?

This picture wasnt edited in photoshop at all except to resize. So proud. baha. I love how natural everyone looks. Everyone is kind of just doing their own thing. KD is actually paying attention, TF is making a face, KF is smiling at something in the distance and KW is laughing. But they all look really happy. <3 Theres too much space at the top...mehhh

4. I feel like I'm stalking their relationship....
But I can't help it. It was a perfect oppertunity and I couldn't waste it. -whimpers-  I love that this picture was totally candid. They didn't realize I was taking the picture. I love how they are looking at eachother and laughing/smiling. And the liiiiiight. ....The random streaks were caused by the light i guess. I didn't add them or anything. Kind of cool but at the same time, a little distracting. Hm, should I have included KW's feet in the picture?

Ohhemgeeee <3 What a beautiful dayy. I managed to get myself into a really grumpy stressy mood during 3rd period. Ran around taking stupid pictures of stupid things which really didn't help. Then, during 5th, I went outside with JP and lay in the grass which was nice. It was so warm! And then during 6th, I migrated over to where MS and KW were sitting. I think I disrupted a serious conversation. Sorry xD Somehow towards the end, I convinced KW to sit up so I could take headshots of her....which put me in a really good mood? haha. Then TF came over and wanted me to take pictures and I really wanted to but I had to go to class. But after chem, I went out and the entire group was out there so I took pictures. yay for about 200 pics total. Of course, I only like about 6 but... haha



1. Take me Away
Tell me this isn't the cutest thing ever. KD and SF are back together [well, this is old news but..] and the world is okay again xP Technique wise and such, this really isn't a special picture. There was no real edits to this picture. Apart from KD and SF being absolutely adorable, I don't think its a great picture. The light is really bright which washes out some of the picture and creates strong shadows. But it was too cute not to put up. KD looks so happy :] Oh, I need to learn how to get closer when I take pictures. I had to crop this. boo.

2. Let the Rain Come Down
Me experimenting with photoshop saturation. This picture looks really blue now. I'm not sure why. It didn't look this blue on my photoshop screen. Grr. My photoshop also messes up my greys and makes them have a greenish tinge. Then, when I look at the same grey on the internet, its blueish. Anyways, this picture is kinda pretty. Her face looks a little too pink compared to the rest of the colors. I blame it all on my photoshop. It doesn't look this way in photoshop! gah. Well, the wood blocks in the background bother me....Oh, and I wish I could figure out how to make her eyes really bright and stand out. Vibrant colors. yeah. Oh, I take waaay too many photos of KW. haha. I need to use other models xD

See! This is bluish too! WTF. I HATE MY PHOTOSHOP. I like this one...Its all soft. Her hair looks really silky bahaha. I'm getting better with the zooming in on face for "portraits" thing.

I have no new photos for you >.< I know, bad. Especially since it was like 60 degrees outside today and sunny and beautiful. Trust me, if it weren't for a little something I call the geography project of DOOM, I would have been outside taking photos. Instead, I was inside attempting and failing to work on an essay. So I'm going to cheat and put up some old photos. These were taken on New Years Eve 07-08...so they aren't that old.


1. Some dude from Run Kid Run
Because ER is magical, she got us backstage + so I got to take photos from the side of the stage. This was the first time I used my new camera and without ER, I would have been totally lost. Well, actually, even with her help, I was still totally lost. But, she set everything up for me and encouraged me to go closer to the band [I was off to the side, hiding behind a huge amp or something] and I managed to get some cool pictures. It was so thrilling to actually get to be on the stage taking pictures. I felt like such a pro. bahaha. There was another camera man with a huge telephoto lens near me for a little while which was totally intimidating. But yeah. Okiii, well, I like this picture. The blue light to the left bothers me and the mic thats in the middle bothers me but I'm not sure if there is anything I could have done about that. I think I was zoomed in all the way... I'm dissapointed in how bored the guy looks but there isn't much I could have done about that either...

2. Topher from The Bigger Lights
uhm...so I def did not know Topher is short for Christopher. haha and now I feel a little stupid. This was another picture from the concert but down on a smaller stage. The picture was very very orange. eek. And so I tried to fix it a bit. I didn't do a very good job of fixing it. Oh well. Um, well, the people in the background are annoying but interesting at the same time. Unfortunate that I cut off his left arm. I also didn't do a very good job framing the picture. It's...meh

I found this today. It's beautiful. I watched it quite a few times after I first found it. The story wasnt quite clear at first but then I read this post by the creator: "Two lovers are separated in different dimensions. A jealous lover holds the key to bridge the gap. Music and love are the only ways to communicate; With the speed of love, blooming doors open." It's a little mushy and the fight scene bugs the hell out of me but I still love it <3 I want to know where they shot this. The location is gorgeous.

1. 2/3 Spirit
For our last meet, we were meant to dress up according to a theme. We voted between war paint, 80's, pirates and ninjas, etc.. We were going to go with either war paint and 80's when someone pointed out, you can't go part way with 80's. So, some how, we decided on 80's as our theme. Well, only 3 people actually dressed up. And JW who was all excited for the theme and wanted everyone to wear shorty shorts, failed to dress up at all. "I didn't have time." Nice job JW. Anyways, the rest of the NCS team put on crazy purple "war" paint on our faces. STA team failed to show any spirit at all. lame. Anyways, props to BW and MR for enduring the stares of other random climbers and actually having spirit. Then again, there were plenty of stares towards our team with KD running around with a bandana + war paint and MS, SV, and me dancing to "jump on it." Oh and boo for little kids and their silly birthday parties. Oh, so bad framing of the picture, but it was totally rushed because we had to get ready to climb.

2. Conqureing the world, one staircase at a time
This photo was taken by JV aka Justin/Jason Kapinski. ohmygod our team is HUGE this year. This is a huge jump from the team last year [I wasn't on it...] of like 5 or 6 people. And this picture doesn't even show the entire team. A couple people were missing. I know a couple people are blurry and some people aren't looking at the camera, but this is the only picture where you can actually see everyone. Oh and how sad is it that I still don't know some of the freshmens names/can't tell them apart? I'm sorry you guys x.x

3. Okay, now a funny picture
Yay for the varsity team! I would first like to point out how TF is blurry in almost every single picture. Next, I would like to point out KD. Now, I'm not surprised at KD and her scary "hey babe" face, but now look at MS. MS with a seductive face? ahhhh! -falls over- haha. GR and BW are funny and MR is just kind of doing her own thing. This isn't exactly an amazing picture, but its cute/amusing. Oh and how scary is it that 5/6 of these people will be GONE next year?!
